Q: How do I check in and check out? What is the process?
A: Check in is at 4pm, check out is at 11am. We'll mail you an informative Welcome packet before your stay, containing a code for the outside lockbox, which will allow you entry. You can refer to the Welcome packet, or visit our Guest Checkout page for a list of items to do before you check out.
Q: How do I make a deposit to hold the condo?
A: For U.S. residents, please mail a check or money order ($500) directly to us at 1508 SE 104th Ct. Vancouver, WA 98664. For those outside the U.S., we can arrange for payment via PayPal – contact us for details.
Q: Do you accept credit cards or PayPal for payments?
A: We do have the ability to accept payments via PayPal, but for U.S. residents, we prefer to receive them via check or money order.
Q: What sort of contract will I need to sign?
A: We believe that a contract is only as good as the people behind it. Therefore, we use an informal agreement that is emailed to guests before their stay, to clarify our terms and expectations. We’ll also mail you a printout of this message upon receipt of your deposit.
Q: Is maid service available?
A: Maid service is available at $25/hr. with a $50 minimum. Call us to make arrangements.
Q: Where is the washer/dryer located?
A: There are washer and dryers located next to the condo’s main office, just a short stroll from our door.
Q: If there is a problem during my stay, who do I call?
A: Please call owner Joe Opray directly at 360-597-8720.
Q: Is there an air conditioning unit available?
A: There is a portable A/C unit installed in the upstairs suite. However, if you open the windows at night to allow the trade winds inside – then close them in the morning – the ceiling fans are usually sufficient to keep the space cool. We encourage guests to use the A/C only when necessary, as electricity is an expensive resource on the island.
Q: Is Internet available in the unit?
A: Yes! We offer free dedicated private and secure WiFi (you won’t be sharing with other guests on the property). The access password can be found in the condo.
Q: Do I need to pay for parking?
A: No. There is one designated parking place for each condo unit. Ours is marked with the number "208". Additional spaces may be available; contact us to make arrangements.
Q: Is an extra bed/crib available if needed?
A: You’ll find a Tommy Bahama queen size sofa/sleeper in the main living room. There is also a "Pac & Play" style crib available in the upstairs closet. Please contact us to learn more.
Q: How close is the unit to the beach?
A: Our condo is located 50 steps from the surf. You'll find tidepools nearby, where sea turtles are commonly spotted. You can access the tidepools via a stone stairway. There's currently limited access to the nearby sandy beach, but we're working on getting a permit for a stairway installation. Stand by for further developments…
Q: Is there room to negotiate price?
A: Our standard rates are great prices for the area and quality of our condo. However, we do have some specials and can work out pricing for renters who stay for a longer period of time. Please contact us to learn more.
